This Month – Semantic Web Summit East

November 16-17, 2010, the Semantic Web Summit East will take place in Boston, Massachusetts. Located at at the Hynes Convention Center, the Summit is dedicated to examining the business applications of semantic technology. It will provide an excellent environment for the community to gather, share lessons learned, and take a look at the future of the industry. If you’re new to Semantic Web, it will also be an excellent place to learn about this important set of technologies and how they will change the face of business.

The roster of speakers includes:

Stephen Wolfram – who will discuss the technology behind Wolfram Alpha, including current development directions and important emerging enterprise applications.
Chief Architect and CTO, Department of Defense, Dennis Wisnosky – who will share current initiatives and challenges related to the use of semantic technology in government.
Best Buy Lead Web Development Engineer, Jay Myers – who will join Professor Martin Hepp on a panel about making the case for semantic technology in business.
Rachel Lovinger, Content Strategy Lead at Razorfish – who recently published the excellent report, “Nimble,” which charts how media and publishing companies are adapting to the demands of the digital content landscape.
